Gold was visual artist Frederik Tøt Godsk's first solo exhibition. The exhibition took place at the exhibition space Q and conjured a series of apocalypses: works centred around revelations of endings, transitions, and beginnings. Through his own works, as well as a number of collaborative pieces with Erdal Bilici, Emilia Marienlund Klint, and Sofie Westh, a sculptural collage was formed using materials such as metal, asphalt, and glass. The works borrowed motifs from sacred geometric patterns and fiery visions, and explored barrenness, fertility, eternity, and transience.

The exhibition consisted almost entirely of found objects and materials that had outlived their original functions and were now placed within a symbolism devoid of associated rituals. Through the surviving materials, an alchemical attempt emerged to present glimpses of worlds on the threshold between appearances and disappearances.
